The founder of Chemlube Limited, Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin is an ambitious and aspiring entrepreneur and educationist. Mr. Abedin entered the corporate world long before his master's degree in Business Administration in 2007 from the University of Rochester of New York. Under the guidance of his father late Dr. Anwarul Abedin, Mr. Ishtiaque has established various companies such as American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), American Dairy Limited, American Builders Limited, American International University College (AIUC), and Chemlube Limited is his second petroleum company after Valvoline Cummins Limited. In 2004, he started the company and eventually went on to distribute Bharat Petroleum Company Limited BPCL's MAK lubricants in Bangladesh from the year 2008. In 2006, Chemlube Limited's first office was incepted in Banani Dhaka, thus the journey began. Chemlube limited prides itself on providing value-added products to this market according to the customer's need. Chemlube is also known for being the only authorized distributor of BPCL's MAK Lubricants in Bangladesh. Chemlube started its journey with dealerships based in Dhaka only, the franchising workshops and motor parts stores that sold Chemlube's products were limited to a few as well. Today at any given time, Chemlube is selling up to 3 KL basket products of different kinds in 64 districts around Bangladesh. With their head office in Uttara Dhaka, Chemlube Limited employs a strong team of 210 dealers, 5 officers, all lead by the board of directors including the Chairman Mr. Hasanul A Hasan, Director Manager Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, and Directors Ms. Sabrina Rahman, Mrs. Nadia Anwar and Mr. Abdus Samad Alim. Chemlube limited is currently in partnership with TATA Motors, Nitol, and HERO. Since its inception in 2004 Chemlube has reached its 10th year of reforms in 2014. Mr. Abedin's leadership and inspiration are the driving force of Chemlube's success.
